Refunds & Cancellation Policy
13 October 2026
Persisto.fit is sold as a subscription through your phone's app store, with a free trial period before any charge is made.
This page explains, in plain language, how the free trial, subscription renewal, cancellation and refunds work.
Nothing in this policy removes or limits any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under the law that applies to you.
The free trial
New subscriptions start with a free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged for the subscription.
If you do nothing, the subscription automatically continues into a paid subscription once the trial ends. The length of the free trial and the subscription price applicable to you are shown through the relevant app store before you subscribe.
How billing works
All payments for Persisto.fit are processed by the app store you downloaded it from, not by us directly. We do not receive or store your payment-card details — that is handled entirely by the app store.
You can see your subscription and past charges through the relevant app store's payments or subscription settings.
How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your phone's app store. Open the app store, find your subscriptions, choose Persisto.fit, and select Cancel.
Cancelling stops the subscription from renewing again. Unless a different result is required by applicable law or the relevant app store's rules, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically mean you are entitled to a refund for the period you have already paid for. Refunds are dealt with under the rules below.
Refunds
Because your app store processes the payment, the first place to request a refund for a charge is that app store itself. Open the relevant app store, go to your order or purchase history, find the Persisto.fit charge, and use the refund process provided by the app store.
However, the fact that an app store processed your payment does not remove any refund, cancellation or other consumer rights that applicable law gives you directly against us.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund under applicable law, or if the app-store process does not resolve a problem that is our responsibility, you can contact us at showup@persisto.fit.
Refunds for billing errors or technical problems
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, or a technical fault on our side prevented you from using Persisto.fit during a period for which you were charged, email us at showup@persisto.fit.
Please include the email address associated with your Persisto.fit account, the date and amount of the charge if available, and a description of what happened.
We review these requests individually and will respond within 7 days. If we determine that a refund is appropriate, we will explain how it will be handled. Where the applicable app store controls the actual payment and refund transaction, we may need to direct you back to that app store to process it.
Statutory cancellation and refund rights
The refund rules above do not override mandatory consumer rights. Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to cancel a subscription or obtain a full or partial refund even where the normal subscription rules would otherwise provide no refund.
Statutory rights in South Africa
For qualifying electronic transactions, South Africa's Electronic Communications and Transactions Act provides a statutory cooling-off period. A consumer may generally cancel a qualifying transaction for services within seven days after the conclusion of the agreement, without reason or penalty, subject to the exclusions and conditions set out in the Act. Where payment has already been made and this right applies, the Act provides for a refund within the period it specifies.
This policy does not attempt to exclude those statutory rights.
Statutory rights in the European Union
EU consumer law can give consumers a right to cancel certain online service contracts within a 14-day withdrawal period. The precise rules depend on how the service is classified, when performance begins, and the circumstances in which you entered into the contract.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove a mandatory EU consumer right.
Statutory rights in the United Kingdom
UK consumer law can give cancellation rights for subscription contracts and digital services, subject to the applicable rules and any legally recognised exceptions, including specific provisions concerning the consequences of cancellation and, in some circumstances, a right to a refund or reduced refund.
Unused subscription periods
If you cancel after a paid subscription period has already started, cancelling normally stops the next renewal rather than automatically creating a refund for the unused portion of the current paid period.
This does not apply where applicable law gives you a right to a refund, where the app store provides one, or where we agree to provide a refund because of a billing error, technical problem or other circumstances. We will not use this policy to exclude a refund or cancellation right that cannot legally be excluded.
Price changes
If we ever change the subscription price, existing subscribers will be given notice in advance, in line with the relevant app store's requirements and applicable law, before the new price applies to them. The price applicable to a new subscription will be shown before you subscribe.
If Persisto.fit stops providing the service
If Persisto.fit becomes unavailable or we discontinue the service, we will handle any affected subscriptions in accordance with the applicable app-store rules and any consumer rights that apply. Where applicable law requires a refund for a period the service will no longer be provided, that right applies.
No waiver of consumer rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right, prevent you from exercising a mandatory cancellation right, prevent you from obtaining a refund required by law, impose a cancellation charge that applicable law prohibits, or otherwise restrict a mandatory consumer protection.
If the law of your country gives you a right more favourable than the general policy described here, that legal right continues to apply.
